Anuva Manufacturing Services Now Certified to ISO-13485:2003
November 30, 2016 | PRNewswireEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Anuva Manufacturing Services was recently awarded ISO-13485:2003 certification by BSI. The certification is an international standard that sets out the requirements for a quality-management system specific to the medical devices industry. It is designed for use by organizations throughout the life cycle of a medical device, from initial conception to production and post-production, including final decommissioning and disposal. It also covers aspects such as storage, distribution, installation and servicing, and the provision of associated services.
"This certification was the next logical step to support Anuva's continued growth at our Florida facility," says Anuva founder Vinu Patel. "The medical field will continue to grow and while our North Carolina operation already had this certification, we made the strategic decision to pursue this certification in Florida as well to support the opportunities that we see coming."
Anuva Manufacturing Services has extensive experience in manufacturing a wide variety of electronic products for sectors such as defense, home automation, industrial controls and consumer products. They are part of Anuva's "Design to Distribution" family of businesses with locations in Florida and North Carolina.

In 2010, Anuva Manufacturing Services was launched in Melbourne, FL. In 2012, Anuva launched a sister company, Anuva Resource Solutions and expanded again in 2013 by acquiring TriE Medical Inc. (rebranded Anuva Innovations). In early 2014, the acquisition of Innovative Electronic Solutions Lighting, an LED lighting-manufacturing facility in Morrisville, expanded Anuva's portfolio and electronics-manufacturing capabilities even further. These acquisitions create the "Design-to-Distribution" vision of our company.
