Mirtec Europe Honors Ankatek with Achievement Award
December 21, 2016 | MirtecEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Mirtec has awarded Ankatek of Turkey the 2016 Achievement award as the distributor who has really gone above and beyond. In Ankatek's case, that means breaking into a previously dormant market.
"The Mirtec Europe President's Award for achievement goes to our newest distributor, Ankatek of Turkey. Selim Ergül placed an order within his first week and has followed up with repeated orders since. This is particularly impressive when we consider the troubles which have rocked Turkey during 2016. Thank you Selim, your efforts are much appreciated,” said David Bennett, president of Mirtec Europe.
Ankatek has been in business since 2013 and is the solution partner of over 200 companies, supplying SMD surface mount machines, soldering ovens, wave soldering machines, spare parts and consumables to the electronics industry. They aim to provide the best service to their continuously growing and progressing sales support team, and bring innovative ideas and experiences, technical service, and rapid and permanent solutions to their customers.
"We are pleased, honored, and humbled to accept this award on behalf of Ankatek," commented Selim Ergül, General Manager, Ankatek. "As Ankatek, we have become one of the first three companies active in developing and growing the Turkish market. In the short term we sold many AOI machines with the support of MIRTEC Europe. The happiness of our customers with the machine operation performance during and after the installation process was a source of pride for us. This is the source of our success."

Overview of Soldering Systems With Vacuum
12/18/2024 | Dr. Paul Wild, Rehm Thermal Systems GmbHWhen soldering electronic assemblies, the focus of the vacuum application is on the removal of volatile substances from the solder joints and the associated reduction of pore formation. Particularly in the thermal management of power electronics components, pores can cause so-called hotspots with higher temperatures due to their poor heat conduction. These hotspots can lead to overheating of the components on the one hand and to thermally induced destruction of the solder structure on the other.
