STI Electronics Inc. will host an "Introduction to Robotic Soldering" course that will include a lecture and hands-on work with equipment in conjunction with Fancort Industries Inc. The course is scheduled to take place on Monday, March 20, 2017 at STI's facility in Madison, Alabama.
This course will cover the fundamentals of robotic soldering, including: basic solder theory, quality requirements, establishing a profile, design guidelines (e.g. board and fixturing), cost advantages from manual to robotic soldering, and hands-on experience working with a high performance soldering robot.
The course is designed for process engineers, manufacturing engineers, and production managers. The instructor, Bill Rahn, has 30 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry. He currently provides all training and installs on UNIX JU Soldering Robots.
