BTU Dual Chamber Reflow System Receives SMT China Vision Award
May 1, 2017 | BTU International, Inc.Estimated reading time: 1 minute
BTU International Inc. received a 2017 SMT China Vision Award in the category of Reflow – Soldering for its PYRAMAX ZeroTurn Dual Chamber system. The award was presented to the company on last week April 25, 2017 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center during NEPCON China.
"We are so pleased that the PYRAMAX ZeroTurn has been recognized," said Bob Bouchard, BTU's corporate marketing manager. "This machine continues our pledge to attack reflow oven cost of ownership through innovation. This time, we’ve eliminated recipe changeover time."
The ZeroTurn dual chamber design eliminates process changeover time while preserving the process control that PYRAMAX is known for. Zero turnaround means that high volume manufacturers, that have to contend with product mix, deal with less downtime – enabling higher productivity from the whole line. This dual chamber design truly isolates the two processes, with independent temperature, belt speed and static pressure convection rate controls. Lead-free and leaded processes can be at temperature, side-by-side, without affecting cross board thermal uniformity in either chamber.
SMT China magazine launched the SMT China Vision Awards in 2007 to recognize both international and domestic providers of SMT equipment, materials, software and services that have made outstanding contributions to the rapid growth of China’s electronics manufacturing industry by their inventions and innovations.

The Knowledge Base: My 2025 Industry Wish List
01/14/2025 | Mike Konrad -- Column: The Knowledge BaseMy 2025 wish list for the electronics manufacturing industry is short. In fact, there’s only one item on the list: reliable EV charging stations. I love to drive cars, off-road vehicles, and boats. I also fly airplanes, and I’m an unabashed tech geek. From computers to tech gadgets, count me in. Because electric vehicles combine my fascination for both propulsion and technology, most of my friends and colleagues are surprised to learn that I do not yet have an electric vehicle. So, what’s holding me back? The answer does not lie with the electric vehicle itself, but with the current state of public EV charging stations.
