Fuji Acquires Tower-Factory

Fuji Machine Manufacturing Co. Ltd has strengthened its automatic warehousing capabilities with the acquisition of Tower-Factory GmbH.
Founded in 2013 as a venture company in Germany, Tower-Factory, now a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuji, will provide full technological and overall support for quality improvement. Regarding new product development, Tower-Factory will complement Fuji’s solutions as the industry shifts toward smarter factories. Its product lineup includes an automatic parts warehouse, which supplies the necessary electronic components when required and manages part inventories by linking to mounting robots. It also automatically manages the shelf life of electronic components, which require humidity management using a dry component function.
The acquisition by Fuji will enable Tower-Factory to expand product sales in the Japanese market, with expansion also planned for global sales.
