Exception EMS Restructures Management Team for European Growth
June 7, 2017 | Exception EMSEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Exception EMS, a Fabrinet company and leading UK-based contracts electronics manufacturing solutions provider has seen a 20 percent order book increase in the last nine months since the acquisition by Fabrinet in September 2016. It has also restructured its management team to support the growth it is now seeing across Europe thanks to its broader offering and offshore facilities.
To date the company has seen consistent growth across all industry sectors, with several new clients added to its roster in the last year primarily due to the emergence and fruition of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and its ability to provide a full product lifecycle management offering to its customers with access to global manufacturing facilities. Its tenacity in remaining ahead of the curve in terms of its factory equipment, and the investment behind large purchases of the latest in surface mount technologies means the business now has tier one customers across a number of industries. These primarily include automotive and transportation services, optical, medical technology, defense, oil and gas, semiconductor, LED lighting, green energy and communication architecture.
Access to Fabrinet's CEM facilities just outside of Bangkok, gives Exception EMS a fully integrated offering for both complex and high volume boards. Fabrinet's exceptional attention to detail in IP control in its Thai facility means Exception EMS can offer its customers a highly integrated offshore capability which is becoming increasingly valuable as businesses continue to drive down costs of production.
Recently, the organisation restructured its management team, with Steven Healings promoted to managing director, taking responsibility of the UK manufacturing site; Noel Murphy to group financial officer in the UK; and Mark O'Connor to VP, European Development, at Fabrinet, responsible for the CEM business outside of the UK.
"We have a management team that has several decades of experience among them, and combined with the facilities and specialist teams we now have access to as part of Fabrinet, our business is growing exponentially. We are excited by the opportunities open to us in the coming months," O'Connor, commented. "We continue to support our clients by being ahead of the curve in terms of our technology, and that focus is helping us achieve great success."
