Universal Adds SMTo Engineering to Channel Partner Network

Universal Instruments has strengthened its customer coverage in Mexico with the addition of a new channel partner, SMTo Engineering S.A. de C.V.
SMTo Engineering complements Universal's Customer Operations infrastructure in the territory by leveraging a thorough understanding of the Mexican market to provide best-in class technology solutions in the form of capital equipment, as well as consumables and engineering services for peripheral electronics assembly process equipment.
SMTo Engineering was established in 2015 with the objective to offer high quality products, consulting and support services for the electronics manufacturing market. Operating from its Guadalajara office in the ITESO Technology Park, SMTo Engineering enlists an active team with a minimum of 15 years industry experience to provide its customers turnkey solutions for their specific manufacturing challenges. SMTo Engineering features a versatile portfolio to serve the electronics assembly industries in Mexico.
SMTo Engineering is co-owned by Mexican engineers who are well-known in the industry. Alejandro Olivar, managing director, commented on joining the Universal Instruments team, "This is a very exciting opportunity for us to partner with a well-respected industry leader, as it supports the SMTo mission of building long-term relationships with our customers and principals, and providing exceptional customer services by pursuing business through innovation and advanced technology."
