Saline Lectronics Promotes Jeff Riedel to Executive Vice President
July 17, 2017 | Saline Lectronics, Inc.Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Saline Lectronics Inc. has promoted Jeff Riedel to the position of Executive Vice President of Manufacturing and Continuous Improvements. Within this new role, Riedel will be able to further expand and accurately monitor the effectiveness of Lectronics' lean initiative.
"Our lean initiative has proved to provide the necessary traction that allows our organization to move faster and faster for our customers – while still remaining flexible and proactive," commented Mario Sciberras, President/CEO at Lectronics.
Riedel first joined Lectronics in 2015 as Lean Champion in order to implement lean tools and processes throughout the organization. His extensive professional background in electronics and automotive manufacturing transitioned perfectly to Lectronics' environment, and he quickly proved that lean was well suited within Lectronics' culture and environment. Riedel is an incredible asset to Lectronics due to his ability to effectively engage and encourage employees to voice their ideas and solutions.
"Lectronics has been on a lean transformation journey over the past two years," commented Riedel. "In order to accelerate that transformation, leaders in various departments were taught how to properly identify waste and given the correct tools in order to help them lead their groups in the lean journey."
As part of this new role, Riedel will implement new, lean metrics company-wide that are simple and direct. These tangible metrics will test the effectiveness of lean processes and tools that have been implemented in the last two years. Riedel believes that it's critical to audit these lean practices in order to guarantee that the organization can maintain them over time.
"Now that Lectronics is fully engaged in lean, realignment of the organization is critical to keep the momentum going. With all operations reporting directly to one person, there will be one consistent voice and direction."
