Senator Ron Johnson Discusses U.S. Policy Priorities in Townhall Discussion with VirTex MTI

Executives and staff at an IPC-member facility held a town hall discussion on July 21 with U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) on the federal policy issues facing the advanced manufacturing industry. Senator Johnson participated in a tour of VirTex's Wisconsin facility, VirTex MTI, getting a first-hand look at new innovations and technologies.
Coordinated by IPC, the world’s leading association for the electronics industry, this visit is part of their “Meet the Policymakers” program, an ongoing effort that connects policymakers with their constituents. During the visit, Senator Johnson and VirTex MTI executives and staff discussed issues such as corporate tax reform, the federal budget and environmental regulations.
“We appreciate Senator Johnson’s awareness of the legislative issues impacting our business and industry, and his interest in North American manufacturing,” said Upinder Singh, Vice President and General Manager of VirTex MTI. “Senator Johnson was open to hearing opinions directly from our employees and we look forward to having the opportunity for future discussions.”
