Each year, IPC APEX EXPO features the industry's most dynamic, innovative minds to deliver keynote presentations that are both educational and entertaining. IPC APEX EXPO 2018 will feature Jared Cohen, founder and director of Google Ideas at Google and now CEO of Jigsaw (its successor arm with Alphabet Inc.), former advisor to two U.S. Secretaries of State, author, and member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Cohen will present "Game Changers: Technology and the Next Big Disruptions" on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.
According to Cohen, technology is reshaping nearly every aspect of our lives, especially business, communications, entertainment and politics. There’s never been a more important time to understand how technology is transforming the electronics industry and there are few people better qualified to shed light on what the future holds than Cohen. Named one of TIME Magazine's "100 Most Influential People," Cohen has spent his entire career using technology to solve seemingly intractable problems.
After studying at Stanford and Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, Cohen became the youngest person to serve on the U.S. State Department's Policy Planning Staff. In 2010, he was recruited by Google's then-CEO Eric Schmidt, whom Cohen currently advises, to create Google Ideas, Google's influential think tank expanded to become the technology incubator know known as Jigsaw and housed in Google’s parent company.
In his presentation, Cohen will draw on his extensive travel and first-hand accounts of some of the most important and emerging trends in technology to reveal how current issues matter to the electronics industry. He will also provide his insights into the complex world of technology and offer a glimpse into the future.
Cohen's opening keynote is free to all registered IPC APEX EXPO attendees. The conference and exhibition will run February 27–March 1, 2017.
