Excel Electronics Earns IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 QML

IPC's Validation Services Program has awarded an IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 Qualified Manufacturers Listing (QML) Class 2 to Excel Electronics Inc. Following an initial audit by IPC, Excel Electronics becomes one of the trusted sources and suppliers meeting the stringent requirements of the QML based on two of IPC's foremost standards: IPC J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies and IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies.
Excel Electronics initially contacted IPC to review their manufacturing processes using the IPC Standard Gap Analysis (SGA). By using SGA, Excel Electronics could improve areas in the manufacturing processes and then achieve the QML from IPC.
"The IPC SGA analysis and follow-up assessment provided a thorough examination and validation that all the processes performed throughout our operation meet or exceed industry wide requirements," Chip Estep, president of Excel Electronics states. "The IPC Validation Program has improved the overall quality of all our finished products while increasing our operation's efficiency and overall value to our customers. The QML has already provided instant credibility for Excel Electronics as several global companies have contacted us regarding our capabilities since we received this prestigious designation."
IPC's Validations Services QPL/QML Program was developed to promote supply chain verification. It also provides auditing and certification of electronics companies' products, and identifies processes which conform to IPC standards.
