CalcuQuote and Tech Edventures Team Up for After-School Engineering Camp

As part of a commitment to the greater Dallas/Fort Worth community, CalcuQuote is sponsoring an after-school program, operated by Dallas-based STEM education company Tech Edventures, at Weatherford Elementary School in Plano, Texas. The program will introduce students to principles of engineering and computer programming. Weatherford Elementary is a Title I school with more than 40% of the school’s enrollment being composed of students from low-income families.
TechEdventures Founder and CEO Dr. Allen Selis said of the partnership between the companies, “We are excited to have received a sponsorship for the Weatherford Elementary after-school program from our friends at CalcuQuote. Both businesses are devoted to science and technology, and these funds will go a long ways toward helping underprivileged children learn about science and technology.”
“Our team is thrilled to be able to provide these students with the opportunity to learn in an engaging way about technology, robotics and programming,” said Chintan Sutaria, President of CalcuQuote. “I got to see Dr. Selis teaching summer camps when we were working out of NoD coworking in Dallas, and it’s exciting that we are able to reconnect to make a positive impact on the local community with our businesses.”
