VirTex Expands Business Development Team
October 9, 2017 | VirTexEstimated reading time: 2 minutes

Electronics manufacturing services (EMS) firm VirTex has strengthened its business development team with the appointment of Steve Kithil as new Business Development Manager.
Kithil is yet another proven business development heavyweight and well-recognized industry figure to join VirTex, in the company’s mission to become the only Tier III EMS who can fulfil the manufacturing needs of original equipment makers (OEM), who require the same level of technology that the Tier I EMS offers, for the higher mix, lower volumes and a variable forecast.
He joins VirTex from Flex, where he held the position of director of business development for North America. Prior to that, he held the position of value-added services manager for the AMSS division of Arrow Electronics.
For the past 20 years, Kithil has gained extensive experience in sales, distribution, supply chain management, executive negotiation and closing deals.
Rick Polansky, senior vice president of business development and marketing at VirTex, comments, “Mr. Kithil specializes in creating valuable customer and vendor relationships as well as identifying sales needs and then providing solutions to meet the customers’ requests. As a Business Development Manager for VirTex, Mr. Kithil is part of an organization that brings together the top target resources for demanding markets in the high-tech space.”
On his appointment, Kithil says, “I am very excited to be part of an organization that is one of the most respected within our industry. Over the past few years, I have watched VirTex with great interest as they have risen to become the technology partner of choice for OEMs, from across not only North America but the globe. One of their true differentiators is their knowledge of smart-sourcing to educate and consult their OEM partners on the true cost of ownership throughout the supply chain, enabling them to make an outsourcing decision that makes economic and common sense. I’m thrilled to be part of a company I admired.”
