Inovaxe to Showcase SMART Storage at productronica
November 2, 2017 | InovaxeEstimated reading time: 1 minute

Inovaxe, through Panasonic, will exhibit its SMART InoAuto IA700-S-C Storage System in Hall A3 Stand 177 at productronica 2017, scheduled to take place November 14–17, 2017 at the Messe München in Germany. All of the Inovaxe SMART systems are equipped with sensors and LED indicator lights, along with the InoAuto Locator software, and respond as if the reels have RFID on them.
The InoAuto Full Cart stores 1,120 7" SMT reels and the InoAuto Half Cart stores 560 7" SMT reels. The operator simply scans the barcode labeled part number and quantity, or UID on a reel and places it into an empty Single Package Single Location slot. The InoAuto will report the position of the part to its database automatically, and can send the transaction information to customer systems such as MRP/ERP/MES.
The SMART InoAuto ultra-lean material handling systems enable users to locate parts in less than four seconds and return a part in less than eight seconds. The carts are mobile, store 560 reels in 0.23 m2 or store 1120 reels in 0.42 m2, and the ROI is less than six months. Inovaxe has provided manufacturers with the capabilities to substantially streamline their material handling systems and achieve the following benefits:
- More than 90% labor reduction in pulling kits and returning parts
- More than 90% space reduction for storing SMT parts and kits
- Reduction of set up time and increase in machine up time
- Reduction of operator travel time by 60%
- Eliminates paper for kit pull and feeder loading operation
- Drastically enhance inventory accuracy without counting parts
- Substantially reduce errors in the feeder set up operation
- Typical ROI is less than three to six months
Inovaxe offers integration with Panasonic SMT equipment through PanaCIM (8 and 10) software.
