ITW EAE to Reveal Assembly Advances at IPC APEX EXPO 2018
February 15, 2018 | ITW EAEEstimated reading time: 1 minute
ITW EAE, the electronic assembly equipment division of ITW will be attending the IPC APEX EXPO, to be held February 27 to March 1, 2018 in San Diego, California. The ITW EAE booth (3113) will be displaying and demonstrating the latest advances in the MPM, Camalot, Electrovert and Vitronics Soltec product lines.
The IPC APEX EXPO is a great opportunity to see the broad equipment offering from ITW EAE. Engineers and Applications Experts will be on hand, as well as Sales and Management, to answer questions and offer solutions. The combined knowledge and experience of the ITW EAE group has generated some breakthrough innovation which is speeding the development of next generation technology.
Camalot will be launching Dynamic Dual Head (DDH) which offers the unique ability to double dispense speed while maintaining the highest level of accuracy for both dispense pumps. The patented design corrects for part to part rotation in real time allowing synchronous dispensing of both pumps. Camalot is also launching NuJet, a jetting technology for the Prodigy dispenser that eliminates the use of a needle and incorporates a state-of-the-art pneumatic actuator that generates an operating frequency of up to 300Hz.
MPM will be debuting the Momentum Elite with a new paste monitoring system featuring temperature monitoring as well as upper and lower limit roll-height monitoring. These new features will improve yield and reduce waste by ensuring proper paste viscosity to avoid bridging and voiding and eliminate insufficient or excess paste volumes. There is also a new user-friendly graphic user interface.
“Miniaturization continues to demand enhancements in speed and precision, and we are excited to showcase our capabilities in these areas,” said Hutch Coburn, ITW EAE General Manager. “We also welcome the opportunity to continue our discussions with leading manufacturers on Industry 4.0 and the collective advantages these capabilities can bring.

Better Sustainability Policies for Electronics
10/29/2025 | Diana Radovan, Global Electronics AssociationI joined the Global Electronics Association in August 2025 as the director of sustainability policy. Since then, much has happened in terms of geopolitics and in the development and re-envisioning of sustainability policies in the industry. While the European Commission has released several legislative packages to simplify sustainability requirements (“omnibus”), these developments haven’t yet settled and are not in effect. Given the many recent and ongoing public consultations, with often conflicting input from a broad range of stakeholders, final negotiations remain rather polarized among policymakers.
