Optical control to Display SMD Counting Machine at IPC APEX
February 15, 2018 | optical control GmbH & Co. KGEstimated reading time: 1 minute
optical control GmbH & Co. KG announced today they will display the latest SMD Counting Machine OC-SCAN CCX.3 in booth #2953 at the upcoming IPC APEX EXPO, taking place Feb 27-March 1 at the San Diego Convention Center in California.
Exact inventory knowledge and permanent inventory is mandatory to increase productivity, for on-time delivery and an immediate reaction in case of bottlenecks. The entire SMT line is monitored, so monitoring and controlling inventory to run the lines is equally critical. The OC-SCAN CCX.3 SMD counting machine simplifies electronic manufacturing work and gives exact, and precise control of inventory, and as a result, helps keeps lines running!
“Although we were the first in the world to offer this technology, showing the OC-SCAN CCX.3 at APEX will be our debut at a North American exhibition,” commented Todd O’Neil, North American Sales Manager for optical control. “We are excited to show people what we can do with this technology, and why we are chosen by some of the world’s largest EMS and CM companies.”

Are Our Stackup Rules No Longer Valid?
12/19/2024 | Cherie Litson, EPTAC MIT CID/CID+Are the stackup rules we used to follow no longer valid? It depends on what you’re designing. Electrical rules change depending on your circuit. Fabrication rules change depending on which fabricator you’re working with. Today, we just have more options, and sometimes, cost is a bigger rule than anything else. If you search online for information about layer stackups, trace widths, and hole sizes in PCBs, you’ll find a variety of resources.
