Mycronic and Optomec to Exhibit New Fine Feature Electronics Material Dispensing System at IPC APEX EXPO
February 27, 2018 | Mycronic ABEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Mycronic AB, will together with Optomec Inc. exhibit a newly co-developed micro dispensing platform for electronics materials at IPC APEX EXPO in San Diego, February 27 - March 1, 2018.
Technology trends are creating new challenges where material deposition must not only be precise but also be dispensed at micrometer scale geometries. Leveraging Optomec’s unique, high-resolution Aerosol Jet technology onto Mycronic’s MYSmart precise dispensing platform creates a production-viable solution for micro dispensing and printed electronics.
“Mycronic is proud to be associated with Optomec, a leader in its industry, where we will be enabling high-volume production capabilities to an already proven micro-dispensing technology. This is cutting-edge technology that can rapidly transfer from R&D to volume manufacturing on a single platform. By merging two robust technologies into a single product we are enabling the breakthrough of true micro dispensing into the electronics assembly industry,” says Clemens Jargon, VP Global Dispensing at Mycronic.
“We are very pleased to work together with Mycronic on this project. Coupling our production-proven Aerosol Jet solution with Mycronic’s industry-leading dispense platform enables us to provide a value-add advanced electronics packaging solution that satisfies pent-up demand for high resolution material deposition and precision coatings, all without disrupting the existing manufacturing infrastructure,” says Mr. Ramahi, President and CEO of Optomec.
Visitors interested in the new fine feature electronics material dispensing system and to learn more about micro dispensing and printed electronics are welcome to visit Optomec at Booth 3800. To view the complete range of MYSmart dispensing and coating systems, and to explore the advantages of Mycronic’s advanced automation solutions, visit Booth 3511 IPC APEX EXPO in San Diego on February 27 - March 1, 2018.
