VEXOS Achieves KGMP Certificate for Medical Devices
March 30, 2018 | VexosEstimated reading time: 1 minute
VEXOS Corp., a global EMS provider, has announced that its LaGrange, Ohio, USA manufacturing facility has been awarded the Korea Good Manufacturing Practice (KGMP) from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of South Korea for medical device manufacturing. This certification recognizes VEXOS quality management systems and its focus on meeting the highest levels of quality assurance for products developed for the medical industry.
Similar to ISO 13485 quality system standards, KGMP is required by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) for all Class II, III, and IV medical devices. The MFDS verify KGMP compliance via an onsite inspection, conducted by an authorized auditor.
"This is an important milestone for VEXOS as we extend our medical device manufacturing and engineering services in all VEXOS facilities worldwide," said John Wilkinson, SVP & GM for Vexos LaGrange. "This certification is a further demonstration of VEXOS’s ongoing commitment to our focus on providing solutions to manufacture finished devices for medical OEMs."
VEXOS provides advanced electronic manufacturing services to OEMs in the medical sectors. These services support the safe deployment and execution of medical products, including the ability to deliver product recall, traceability, record retention, and risk management.
