Libra Industries is pleased to announce that it received a safety award from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC). The Division of Safety and Hygiene awarded Libra Industries for working 1,138,743 hours without accident or injury (between the dates of 4/8/2015 – 12/31/2017).
In conjunction with the Division of Safety & Hygiene, the safety councils present safety awards throughout Ohio to promote greater interest in the prevention of occupational accidents and disease. Members with the highest safety records are honored at annual awards events.
BWC's Division of Safety & Hygiene sponsors 81 safety councils across the state, organized through chambers of commerce, trade and manufacturing associations, American Red Cross chapters or other local safety-minded organizations. These safety councils provide their local communities with quality programs addressing occupational safety and health, workers’ compensation and risk management education and information. They inform participants about new techniques, products and services, and provide a thorough knowledge of these services.
Carol Brown, Libra Industries’ HR Manager, commented about the safety award: “Libra Industries is dedicated to protecting the health and safety of all employees. We believe that it is our responsibility to aggressively manage all factors that contribute to the welfare of our employees. To accomplish this goal, we must give the same attention and dedication to managing these elements that we give to the management of the many other elements that contribute to our success as a manufacturer of a diverse line of high quality products.”
Libra Industries continues to invest to provide customized manufacturing solutions to help make its customers more competitive and improve their profitability.
