Zestron Opens Technical Center in Taiwan
May 16, 2018 | Stephen Las Marias, I-Connect007Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Zestron on Wednesday, May 16, launched a new technical center in Hsinchu, Taiwan. With the opening of this new technical center, Zestron now owns a total of eight globally linked technical support facilities throughout the world.
The facility includes an analytical lab, a technical center, and an office space, and will enable the company to provide comprehensive cleaning trials with various cleaning machines and cleaning agents right to the door steps of its customers in Taiwan.
“We feel we need to be present with our own team and own infrastructure, which can be a competitive advantage in a sense. To us, the physical presence—we have local Taiwanese engineers and salespeople here working every day and testing for the customers—is a unique advantage because there is no other technical center of this type in all of Taiwan. Customers can call us up, and within a few hours, they are either here or we are over at their side talking about their challenges and how to solve them,” says Dr. Harald Wack, president of Zestron. “Customers have already asked to come here in the next few days. Once this gets too small, then we move to a bigger place. We’ve done it in many other countries before, so this is a start, and hopefully, we will multiply our customer base in Taiwan.”
This new facility underscores the importance of Asia for Zestron. The company recently strengthened its R&D team for the Asian market by adding a PhD chemist in Malaysia, its Asian headquarters.
Zestron is also expanding in Japan, where it bought a bigger building to accommodate its increasing business in the country. It will officially open the doors of its technical center this Friday.
“Zestron’s mission is to innovate, educate and develop the highest quality products and services that meet customers’ needs. With the grand opening of our technical center in Hsinchu, it enables us to provide the optimal technical support and training to the local customers. Cleaning beyond innovation is always our upmost commitment and dedication to all the customers in the electronics industry,” says James Yeoh, executive director of Zestron South Asia.
