"We are investing heavily in the latest equipment to give our clients confidence in the quality of our products and services. The Mirtec MV3-Omni will ensure that our PCB inspection is consistent with the IPC-A-610 Class III standard," says Andy Nield, operations manager for Electrica.
As a first-time Mirtec customer, Nield adds, "We believe Mirtec to be the global leader in test and inspection equipment. Mirtec’s MV3-Omni will offer our customers the most advanced inspection available on the market."
Headquartered in Cheshire UK, Electrica is a BS EN ISO9001:2015-registered company offering world-class electronic design, development and manufacturing services.
Inside their recently refurbished 12,500 sq ft premises, Electrica have seven in-house design engineers, IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001-trained assembly staff and surface mount production lines, as well as through-hole and box-build capabilities.
The Dukinfield firm also provide design and manufacturing expertise across a wide variety of markets including life science, defense, aviation, research and automotive, among others.
The MV-3 OMNI Desktop 3D AOI Machine is configured with MIRTEC’s OMNI-VISION 3D Inspection Technology, which combines MIRTEC’s exclusive 15 Mega Pixel CoaXPress Industrial Camera System with their revolutionary 12 Projection Digital Multi-Frequency Moiré 3D Technology in a newly designed Desktop platform.
