June 4, 2018 | PRWEBEstimated reading time: 1 minute

REDCOM Laboratories Inc. is being profiled as New York State Senator Rich Funke's Business of the Month.
"We're excited to introduce REDCOM to our local community," said Dinah Gueldepfennig Weisberg, REDCOM President and CEO. "REDCOM is one of Rochester’s best-kept secrets. Since 1978, we've been building specialized communications products that solve the unique challenges of customers that span the globe."
REDCOM is a true small business success story. The company was founded in Penfield, New York by Klaus and Brigitte Gueldenpfenning in 1978. Forty years later, REDCOM counts among its customers all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, numerous government agencies, independent telecom service providers, and many international customers.
In addition to developing communications technology, REDCOM is also in the business of electronics manufacturing. REDCOM EMS, established in 2012 as a business unit of REDCOM Laboratories Inc., provides contract manufacturing services to OEMs by leveraging the company's vast manufacturing resources and skilled employee base. REDCOM EMS specializes in PCB assembly, cable assemblies, and complete product build. REDCOM EMS has many local customers in the Rochester area, and has even pulled in business from overseas in an effort to help bring manufacturing back to the United States.
"As REDCOM EMS continues to grow with our local customers, we are hiring additional employees and expanding our capacity. It’s a very exciting time for us," said Steve Husband, REDCOM EMS Vice President of Manufacturing.
