Beyond the Rulebook
What happens when the rule book is no longer useful, or worse, was never written in the first place? In today’s fast-moving electronics landscape, we’re increasingly asked to design and build what has no precedent, no proven path, and no tidy checklist to follow. This is where “Design for Invention” begins.
March Madness
From the growing role of AI in design tools to the challenge of managing cumulative tolerances, these articles in this issue examine the technical details, design choices, and manufacturing considerations that determine whether a board works as intended.

Crossing Language Barrier, PCBCart Releases Japanese Website
June 7, 2018 | PCBCart.comEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
PCBCart.com recently released its Japanese website. From now on, PCBCart’s Japanese customers, or anyone interested in PCBCart service from Japan, may carry out quotations and submit orders for bare PCBs and PCB assembly service on the Japanese-language website.
The release of the Japanese-version website aims to optimize service. “Since our establishment more than 10 years ago, we have won much satisfaction from a good number of Japanese customers,” said Shen, chief manager of PCBCart. “They feel satisfied with the high quality of both our products and service, although we used to communicate with each other in English. Thus, we believed it necessary to establish a Japanese website for PCBCart. As our Japanese website is used, communication efficiency between our staff and customers will dramatically increase, which is beneficial for both parties.”
The new Japanese website provides a platform through which Japanese customers are allowed to have full awareness about PCBCart’s manufacturing capabilities on PCBs prototyping and assembly capabilities, including assembly types, component packages, soldering types and inspection etc. Furthermore, customers are able to implement quotations and submit orders within seconds, greatly accelerating customers’ products’ access to market.
“We’ve deeply understood the significance of high quality for customers, which is why we’ve been striving for it without any hesitation,” said Shen when product quality is concerned. “Certified by ISO9001:2008, UL and RoHS, PCBCart manufacturing has been rigorously compatible with IPC standard and all the products have to go through strict and professional inspections before they leave our workshop. Therefore, we’re fully ready and confident to play an essential role in sharing a portion of the Japanese electronics market based on this newly-established website. Moreover, we can provide very competitive prices.”
