Optilia Taps Altus for Distribution Partnership in Europe

Altus Group has been awarded the exclusive distribution agreement for Swedish company Optilia, a leader in the design and development of visual inspection instruments.
Together with its daughter company, Danutek, Altus will distribute Optilia’s state-of-the-art equipment across several territories in Europe.
‘’Bringing Optilia distribution into the Altus and Danutek Group of companies is very exciting for us,” said Richard Booth, managing director of Altus. “Together with our recent history of work in the inspection business, and Optilia’s rich expertise, and leading position within the European inspection market; we feel that the it is the perfect opportunity for our companies to do good business together over the coming years.
“We are very pleased to have been selected as a distributor for such a well-recognised and market-leading company and we will be looking to show some significant market expansion for Optilia in the territories we operate. Those significant business areas being the UK, Ireland, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria.’’
Rickard Haggren, marketing and sales manager of Optilia, added, “Our exclusive agreement with the Altus Group in the UK and beyond is a perfect match for Optilia. We are developing both our sales channels to streamline our operation and our product portfolio with a lot of exciting news in terms of new and upgraded product lines coming soon. In doing this Altus is a perfect partner for us considering our common history and goals.”
Optilia has a history of high quality and reliable products, with all the latest software capabilities including the important image capture function. Altus has already seen several enquiries for the Optilia range, particularly the BGA inspection system which produces high-resolution digital pictures with exceptional colour and detail definition. It creates sharp images of solder balls under BGA packages up to 10 rows and to 40 µm component stand-off. Flexia BGA is designed according to the requirements of electronics manufacturers regarding flexibility, image quality and time and cost-effectiveness. It is also customisable and easily integrated with automatic board handling, to provide ergonomic inspection worktables.
