Axiom Invests for Success

Following another year of sustained growth Axiom Manufacturing Services has attributed its success to a prolonged process of key investment latest investment in technology and team development.
As one of the UK’s leading providers of CEM services in the high mix/low volume arena, Axiom’s explains that its strategy for consistent growth in the medical, industrial, aerospace and defence markets, focusses on continual technological and skills investments that are directly linked to the future needs of its customers.
In a record year for turnover, the manufacturer has realised that commitment with nearly £1.5million worth of investment for its Newbridge facility and specialist workforce. Most recently, the company strengthened its core surface mount technology (SMT) line with the integration of the industry leading Fuji AIMEX III equipment.
This continued investment in process capability and capacity serves to ensures Axiom’s continued ability to predict and exceed the future needs of its customers, as they respond to trends and lead new product development in their respective advanced technology markets.
As specialists in the new product introduction, including design for manufacture, bespoke testing and assembly of advanced high mix printed circuit boards, such improvements in surface mount technology will allow greater streamlining Axiom’s core process.
These investments are designed to deliver a return on investment that Axiom will transfer directly to its customers, while also allowing the CEM greater capacity to take on facilitate increased demand for its services from its existing and potential new customers and safeguard the strict quality assurances Axiom pledges to every customer.
Commenting on the recent investment, David Davies, managing director at Axiom, said: “Sustained turnover growth is something every manufacturer will celebrate, but our focus will always be to ensure that the services we provide exceeds the needs of our customers today and anticipates their future needs when developing technologies that advance their industry.
“Guaranteeing that we meet our customers’ service needs tomorrow, to ensure their products reach the market, on time and fully tested, requires more than state-of-the-art equipment. This is why we are committed to the continual development of our team, providing opportunities to develop our collective skill base and developing routes for new talent to develop with Axiom.”
In addition to providing employees with opportunities for ongoing specialist skills development, Axiom is committed to investing in the next generation. Through its award-winning programmes, the company hires new apprentices and graduates annually, while continuing its undergraduate industry placement partnership with the University of South Wales, which enables aspiring engineers to work at Axiom for a year between studies.
