Cirexx Supplies Rigid-Flex Circuits for Innovative Medical Application

Cirexx International has worked closely for several years with engineers at a major medical products manufacturer in the Midwest, to develop state-of-the-art rigid-flex circuit boards for use in cognition detection systems. The product is designed to be used by health providers to detect the human brains reaction to stimuli. It is used for early detection of Alzheimer’s and other neurological conditions. The cognition system is also used for clinical research and study.
The circuit boards that Cirexx fabricates and assembles are multilayered, rigid-flex construction with Black Kapton over the flexible sections for aesthetic consistency with the systems rubber webbing.
The rigid sections support the sensors and are very dense with additional electronic components. The boards are tested to very tight requirements for electrical performance. Cirexx worked with engineers at the medical products manufacturer to refine the design for optimal performance and cost efficiency. Many trials and tests have resulted in the best design for the application.
