Alpha to Promote Silver Sintering Tech at Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo
August 10, 2018 | Alpha Assembly SolutionsEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Alpha Assembly Solutions will feature its silver sintering technology for power electronics at Booth #212 during the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo being held in Novi, Michigan, on September 11-13, 2018.
"ALPHA Argomax is proving to be the go-to solution for traction inverters used in electric drivetrain applications, and we are excited for the opportunity to work with the many innovative companies in this space," said Paul Koep, Americas business market manager, for die attach solutions at Alpha. "The unique combination of our broad product portfolio, sintering process knowledge and package design insight accelerates our customers‘ ability to launch high performance products with extremely aggressive timelines."
There is an unprecidented level of activity in the electrification space, from OEM, Tier 1 and many new players offering various levels of integration and expertise. Alpha is extremely pleased with the reception it is receiving across this supply chain and with the success our customers are experiencing.
Customers also benefit from Alpha’s network of equipment partners, who have developed sintering systems that achieve high throughtput and high yield.
"Having worked with a broad group of equipment partners, we understand the production impact of sinter process decisions as well as package design tradeoffs. Our approach is to verify the sinter process in our lab with the customer’s material set, and work closely with customers to ensure the process we develop and final package design enables a high level of manufacturability and reliability," said Koep.
Alpha, a MacDermid Performance Solutions Business, is a leader in developing innovative material solutions that serve the highest performance, reliability, and environmental requirements of industry leading companies, including the rapidly expanding electric and hybrid vehicle market. Alpha’s portfolio of Argomax advanced sintering products provides the ability for high power switching applications to achieve the highest power density, and highest electrical conductivity, while providing an unprecidented improvement in power cycling reliability.
