1. According to TrendForce’s latest estimation, the global smartphone production volume for 2018 will reach around 1.465 billion units, representing an annual increase of 0.5%.
2. TrendForce also estimates that the global production volume of iPhone devices (including all previous models) for 2018 will total around 221.9 million units, representing an annual increase of 0.4%.
3. Two of the new iPhone models to be released will come with an AMOLED display, which will help expand the AMOLED adoption in the smartphone market. TrendForce forecasts that around 48% of smartphones shipped worldwide in 2021 will feature the AMOLED display.
