Z-AXIS Adds Two to Leadership Team

Two technology industry veterans have joined the leadership team at Z-AXIS, an electronic design and contract manufacturing service provider near Rochester, New York.
Steve Kelly, drector of Business Development, brings more than 25 years of experience in sales and marketing for engineering design and manufacturing companies including Lumetrics and Bausch + Lomb. 
As vice president of Sales and Marketing at Lumetrics, a manufacturer of precision optical gauging systems and wave front sensors, Steve worked directly with key accounts, led an internal sales team, and managed a global network of independent sales representatives. Before joining Lumetrics, Steve was General Manager with P&L responsibility for Bausch + Lomb’s $13M vision accessory business in Rochester, NY, selling optical products to consumer and industrial markets. He directed sales, marketing and operations functions including product development, procurement, product branding, sales forecasting and strategic plans.
Steve has prior experience leading sales and marketing for contract manufacturer CEN Electronics (now Applied Energy Solutions) and electronic instrumentation manufacturer Monroe Electronics, both in western New York. He was most recently Vice President of Sales and Marketing at KrisTech Wire near Syracuse. Steve has a BS in marketing/business administration and an MBA in marketing from St. John Fisher College.
Massimo Amadio, design engineering manager, has more than 24 years of leadership and supply chain management experience with technology companies ITT, Trane, Solectron, Xerox and Eldre Corporation (now Mersen).
At ITT he created and led a Commercial Excellence team for the Industrial Process Value Center, focusing on growth, transactional pricing, sales operations and voice of customer. He held managerial roles in ERP integration, purchasing, pricing, industrial process, and commodity management teams. As a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Project Manager he led projects in manufacturing and the transactional office environment and led Kaizen and Lean initiatives.
Massimo has served on the Z-AXIS board of directors since 2015. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering with a major in power electronics theory and application from Rochester Institute of Technology, and an MBA with concentrations in marketing and finance from Rochester Institute of Technology.
