Industry Veteran Scott Fillebrown Joins Southwest Systems Technology
November 8, 2018 | Southwest Systems Technology (SST)Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Southwest Systems Technology (SST), the resource for electronic and semiconductor manufacturing in the Great Southwest and a premiere manufacturer’s representative for capital equipment, tools, consumables and ergonomic solutions, is pleased to announce that Scott Fillebrown has joined the company as managing director.
Fillebrown is the former chief technology officer and president/CEO of a high-technology design and EMS company.
Dee Claybrook, founder and CEO of SST, said, “Scott is a hands-on manager who takes the time to understand technology and the processes required so that SST delivers customers the best possible solution. Scott is responsible for the day-to-day operations of SST, including managing the sales team and working with principles and customers.” Claybrook continued, “Adding Scott allows me to focus more on selling and completes the vision of moving Southwest Systems into our 31st year of business and beyond.”
Adding professionals with years of industry experience is a strategy that began when Will Palser joined Southwest Systems earlier this year. Palser’s career background includes owning and running an EMS company located in Richardson, Texas, with prior experience selling electronic components and sub-systems. Claybrook added that with the company’s associates in Austin, El Paso, McAllen and Guadalajara, it is moving into a renewed stage.
“With our collective knowledge of EMS manufacturing processes, coupled with Dee’s approach to long-term relationships, I believe the company’s future is very bright,” said Fillebrown.

04/13/2026 | Marcy LaRont, I-Connect007It was a beautiful 81°F morning in Arizona last Wednesday as I headed to the third annual SMTA Ultra HDI Symposium, focused on AI and ultra high density interconnect technology. Strategically held as part of Arizona’s Tech Week, this year’s conference took place in Avondale in Phoenix's West Valley. The event moved from the cozy offices of the Peoria Sports Complex (which paid homage to baseball’s spring training world) to the larger Avondale Conference Center, highlighting the importance of this area for electronics manufacturing investment.
