EMS Fully Automates with Nutek
December 4, 2018 | Electronic Manufacturing Solutions Ltd (EMS)Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Electronic Manufacturing Solutions Limited (EMS) recently installed a new printed circuit board (PCB) handling equipment from Nutek Europe, the industry leading supplier of PCB handling equipment.
The new equipment provides equipment to complete the first line, support the second line, and automate the automated optical inspection (AOI) and includes:
- Line 1 – unloader to provide complete line automation
- Line 2 – loader/unloader, conveyors and unloader to provide complete line automation
- AOI – two loader/unloaders to provide automated AOI running
"The investment in this premium Nutek equipment complements our ongoing investment strategy by providing our production line with excellent top quality PCB handling equipment. Whilst smaller than some of the recent investment, this equipment is a very important to efficient reliable SMT production," said EMS' Managing Director Bernard Chubb.
"The addition of this PCB handling equipment is very exciting for EMS and provides EMS with the capability to automatically paste PCBs up to 600mm in length and 460mm in width. The line itself now fully complements the handling capabilities of Panasonic CM101Ds on our first line and Panasonic NPM-W2s on our second line," said Jonathan Plummer, general manager of EMS.
