Varitron Acquires All Assets of XCELSIA Technologies in Mirabel

Varitron has acquired all assets of XCELSIA Technologies, a Mirabel-based manufacturing services provider specialized in electronic circuit assembly. Under the terms of the transaction, all 15 positions in XCELSIA, as well as its facility at 18005 Rue Lapointe in Mirabel, will be maintained. Varitron, which owns plants in Saint-Hubert and Granby, Québec, as well as in New Hampshire, intends to invest in capacity at this fourth site in 2019.
“This new site will be dedicated to prototyping and small-batch production so as to better serve our customer base,” explains Michel Farley, president and CEO, Varitron Group. “With this addition, we are enhancing our overall capacities. The strategic position on Montréal’s North Shore enables us to better serve the Greater Ottawa Region and access a broader pool of talent, which is a significant advantage in these times of global labour shortage.”
This acquisition will be integrated immediately into company’s operations. The enhanced prototyping capacity will offer better support to Varitron’s customers wanting faster product introduction into their market.
