Martin Valdes has joined Firstronic as corporate quality systems auditor. Based in Juarez, Mexico, he will be reporting to Sandy Kolp, director of quality.
Previously, Valdes served as QS coordinator for Leggett and Platt Automotive Group. He was earlier associated with Epic de Mexico, Arneses de Juarez II, and Maquilados Fronterizos II in a variety of quality management and audit positions.
“Martin has nearly three decades of quality management experience. He has a strong automotive background with solid skills in core quality tools, root cause analysis and internal audit. His fluency in Spanish and English makes him invaluable resource in maintaining a centralized audit and compliance program within our North American facilities,” said Kolp.
Valdes received a degree in engineering at Escuela Superior de Agricultura Hermano Escobar in Juarez, Mexico. He has also had extensive training in TQM, quality system auditing, Lean manufacturing tools, quality core tools, APQP and PFMEA.
