Dorigo Systems Breaks Ground on Facility in Burnaby’s Glenlyon Business Park
February 7, 2019 | Dorigo SystemsEstimated reading time: 1 minute
The Pillon Holdings Group of Companies has broken ground on a custom-designed corporate campus for Dorigo Systems in Glenlyon Business Park. This state-of-the-art EMS (electronics manufacturing services) facility has been designed by architect Christopher Bozyk and is being developed and constructed by Beedie.
Dorigo’s new 106,000 square foot manufacturing facility will be located in Western Canada’s premier suburban business park. The building’s optimized layout and cutting-edge equipment will increase Dorigo’s operational efficiency and production capacity—which will translate into even greater speed, quality assurance, and on-time-delivery for its customers.
“Dorigo has deep roots in Burnaby. We are proud of the fact that all Dorigo’s products are manufactured here, which supports the provincial economy and creates many jobs for local residents. In constructing our company headquarters in Glenlyon, we are reaffirming our commitment to BC’s manufacturing and high-tech industries,” said company President Mark Pillon, P. Eng. “Our new building will rank among the most sophisticated electronics manufacturing facilities in the Pacific Northwest.”
Dorigo’s long-term stability, excellent reputation for high quality manufacturing and strong ties within the electronic component supply chain have all combined to position it as a strong and solid partner for customers. The company has exhibited sustained growth since it was founded in 1988, and currently encompasses 45,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 100 skilled employees.
Dorigo’s new headquarters will serve as a hub for the company’s staff, customers and industry colleagues, and as a true testament to the company’s strength, stability and on-going success. The facility will also provide a number of employee-friendly amenities, including training and meeting rooms, recreational spaces, and ample parking.
