optical control Expands Support in Western Canada with G2 Manufacturing
February 11, 2019 | Optical Control AmericasEstimated reading time: 2 minutes

optical control Americas is pleased to announce that it has entered a manufacturers’ representative agreement with G2 Manufacturing. Under the agreement, will represent optical control’s class-leading component counting technology throughout Western Canada.
“We keep growing and adding ‘best in the industry’ partners, and John Gilby is no exception,” commented Todd O’Neil, VP of Business Development at optical control. “His industry knowledge, professionalism and customer relationships in this growing territory are an important part of our growth. We are all excited.”John Gilby
The CCX X-ray from optical control is a true plug-and-play system that can X-ray ANY size reel in the same cycle time no matter type of component, or how full or empty it is. High speed combined with the best accuracy, it is capable of providing an ROI faster than any other machine. The highlight of the CCX is – there are no libraries required or need for customer input to get started. It’s as simple as plugging in the machine, and start counting.
The machine also can be configured for complete automation, including integrations into other sytems such as automated storage units. Whether this is done by software only, using a loading and unloading unit, or complete integration, is up to the customer in their steps toward industry 4.0.
John Gilby, the president and founder of G2 Manufacturing, stated, “G2 Manufacturing is a leader in Western Canada because we offer the best products in the industry. The optical control CCX product line is no exception, and its reputation as a fast, accurate, plug-and-play solution fits perfectly with our existing products. The industry is placing so much emphasis on inventory management recenlty, and we feel the CCX will fill a much-needed void. My team and I are excited to be partnering with optical control.”
G2 was started in 2004 to meet the needs of the electronics manufacturing and technical services industry in the Western Canadian market. Based in Vancouver, BC, G2 supports the requirements of the high technology sector in the largest and most diverse geographic market area in the Americas.
