Lite-On Tech Expects Strong Year-on-Year Growth in 1Q 2019

EMS provider Lite-On Technology expects business in first-quarter 2019 to hit the bottom level of the year with a sequential drop but significant year-on-year growth, a Digitimes report quoted company CEO Warren Chen as saying. Power supplies used in cloud computing devices, LED devices and automotive lighting devices, and smart home devices will be driving the company's business growth in the first quarter of 2019.
Of the 4Q 2018 consolidated revenues of NT$50.469 billion (US$1.64 billion), 65% came from IT product lines including power supplies used in servers, PCs and mobile devices as well as PC peripherals and MFPs (multi-function peripherals); 14.54% from optoelectronics product lines including automotive CCMs (compact camera modules), LED devices and LED lighting products; 16.11% from SSDs (solid-state drives) and optical disc drives; and 4.35% from structural components of hand-held devices and other product lines.
