By 2025, the private Long-Term Evolution (LTE) market comprising of healthcare, transport, and logistics, manufacturing, smart venues, smart cities, and oil and gas will be worth US$16.3 billion. “A new understanding of spectrum usage, spearheaded by the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) activities in the United States, and increasing demand from industry verticals are the main drivers of private LTE,” said Pablo Tomasi, senior analyst at ABI Research.

There are five main areas of innovation that Mobile Service Providers (MSPs) must pursue if they want to be relevant in the market of tomorrow. “The restructuring platform is a necessary enabler of future competitiveness as MSPs must ensure their workforce is ready for the digital age by being skilled in areas such as cloud, open source, big data, and agile development tactics,” said Pablo Tomasi, senior analyst at ABI Research.
Additive Manufacturing Leaps from Prototype to Production
The number of production-ready additive manufacturing (AM) platforms that ship each year will increase more than 10 times by 2030, as the technology’s use in structural and mission-critical commercial applications comes to fruition. “Additive manufacturing is moving from the prototype to the production market in a big way,” explained Ryan Martin, principal analyst at ABI Research.
