NOTE Forms New Partnership with Micropower Group
April 10, 2019 | NOTEEstimated reading time: 1 minute
NOTE has started a collaboration with the Swedish company Micropower, which manufactures electricity supply products. Manufacturing has recently begun at NOTE's plants in Lund and Pärnu.
NOTE manufactures PCBAs and box build for lithium ion batteries, which are delivered to Micropower in Växjö, Sweden. Both manufacturing and logistics designs have been designed in consultation between both parties. Once the battery systems have been completed, they will be able to be used by Micropower's customers in different business areas. Annual sales are expected to be approximately SEK 20 million.
“It is gratifying that Micropower has chosen NOTE as an electronic partner, as they operate in a growing market with very high-quality requirements," says Johannes Lind-Widestam, NOTE's President and CEO. “We also feel that Micropower fits well into our structure, as we have plants in several countries and can thus grow together with the customer in the future".
“We are in a very expansive phase and need partners who have the ability to quickly adapt production capacity with a high and stable quality level. The agreement with NOTE means that we secure a production capacity that complements our own production in a good way,” says Torbjörn Gustafsson, President and CEO of Micropower Group.

SMT Perspectives & Prospects: Artificial Intelligence Part 6: Data Module 1
10/07/2025 | Dr. Jennie Hwang -- Column: SMT Perspectives and ProspectsData is one of the six pillars of AI infrastructure. It is critical to the performance of artificial intelligence (AI) models. AI data, essential to both the training and inference of Generative AI models, connotes the datasets used to train, validate, and test AI models. Training data provides models with a frame of reference by establishing a baseline against which models can compare new data using pre-trained models for predictions or generating new content.
Happy’s Tech Talk #43: Engineering Statistics Training With Free Software
10/06/2025 | Happy Holden -- Column: Happy’s Tech TalkIn over 50 years as a PCB process engineer, the one skill I acquired in college that has been most beneficial is engineering statistics. Basic statistics was part of my engineering fundamentals classes, but I petitioned the dean to let me take the engineering statistics graduate course because I was creating a senior thesis for my honors focus and needed more training on Design of Experiments (DOE).
