MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions will be kicking-off a series of international sintering workshops later this month geared toward original equipment manufacturers (OEM) who are motivated to drastically reduce development cycle time for power packages and inverters while increasing electrical and thermal performance.
“In the automotive industry, OEMs are rightfully focusing their attention on battery performance and reliability, but we are working with our customers and valued partners to realize the opportunity for significant value add through power electronics,“ said Mike Marczi, VP of Die Attach Assembly for MacDermid Alpha. “Our ALPHA Argomax sintered silver technology provides an order of magnitude improvement in die attach reliability, which is important when considering costs for a typical 100,000 mile, eight-year power train warranty.”
The international program will kick off in AMX Automatrix headquarters in Gavardo, Italy on the 14th of May and is presented in conjunction with equipment partners, Infotech Automation, AMX Automatrix and YOLE Development. Topics to be covered include:
- Why Sintering is the Future of EV Inverters
- Discrete v. Multi-Die Approaches
- Examples from High Volume Manufacturing customers using ALPHA® Argomax® technology
- Sintering Process Overflow
- Wafer Level Lamination
- Die Bonding & Sintering Processes
