ITW EAE Wins VA Excellence Award for the Camalot Prodigy Dispenser
May 1, 2019 | ITW EAEEstimated reading time: 1 minute
ITW EAE has earned a coveted VA Excellence Award for the Patented Dynamic Dual Head (DDH) dispensing technology for the Camalot Prodigy Dispenser. The Award was presented during the 13th Vision Awards program at Nepcon China.
Dynamic Dual Head (DDH) offers the unique ability to double dispense speed while maintaining the highest level of accuracy for both dispense pumps. The patented design corrects for part to part rotation in “real-time” allowing synchronous dispensing of both pumps. DDH dramatically increases productivity with no sacrifice to yield and is compatible with Jetting and needle-based pump technologies.
“With the Dynamic Dual Head, customers can dramatically increase yields while reducing cost of ownership,” said Hugh Read, ITW EAE Business Manager – Dispenser Group. “The DDH is designed for any step and repeated product including Semiconductor packages, PCB’s, flexible circuits and panel designs.“
The Vision Awards honor visionary advancements in SMT assembly products and technologies that enable China’s electronics assembly industry to build better, more reliable products. The judging panel comprises assembly industry experts and downstream users. Products were judged on their innovativeness and their contribution in helping the industry reduce costs, improve product quality, increase production efficiencies, and enhance product reliability.

Better Sustainability Policies for Electronics
10/29/2025 | Diana Radovan, Global Electronics AssociationI joined the Global Electronics Association in August 2025 as the director of sustainability policy. Since then, much has happened in terms of geopolitics and in the development and re-envisioning of sustainability policies in the industry. While the European Commission has released several legislative packages to simplify sustainability requirements (“omnibus”), these developments haven’t yet settled and are not in effect. Given the many recent and ongoing public consultations, with often conflicting input from a broad range of stakeholders, final negotiations remain rather polarized among policymakers.
