EMS provider Qisda has contingency plans for possible impacts from the US-China trade war, one of them being a shift of some production lines in China to Taiwan, according to a Digitimes report.
Qisda said it has been deploying collaborative robots to automate production lines at its factory in Taoyuan, northern Taiwan, for a few years, and can move production for customized product items each at relatively small ordered volumes from factories in China to the Taoyuan plant if these prodcuts are subject to a 25% US tariff.
