GEN3 Makes New Exclusive Distributor Announcement for North America, Canada and Mexico
October 2, 2019 | Gen3Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

Michigan based Horizon Sales has been selected as the equipment supplier for GEN3’s exclusive distributor servicing the North American, Canada and Mexico markets.
GEN3 is a world-leading British manufacturer of test and measurement equipment, and is pleased to announce that it has opened up its distribution network to include a strategic partnership with Horizon Sales. Horizon Sales is the Midwest’s most trusted source for electronics assembly, and soldering equipment and supplies.
In business for more than 25 years, Horizon delivers state-of-the-art equipment and supplies to its customers, helping them to achieve best-in-class status in their respective markets. Horizon Sales represents the mid-western states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Western Pennsylvania, Illinois, Eastern Iowa, Wisconsin and Florida. For GEN3, Horizon will expand their geographical reach throughout N. America into Canada and Mexico to expand their sales territory, through their developed representation network.
Graham Naisbitt, Chairman and CEO of GEN3 stated: “We are proud to have come to an agreement with Horizon Sales, expanding their portfolio of superior and quality equipment to include our GEN3 products. The entire Horizon Sales team have cooperated in a way that we already feel we have simply extended our GEN3 family. They are the experts in their field with over 25 years representing industry leading equipment and we are confident that our test and measurement equipment compliments their existing product range well. Combine these factors with the fact Horizon Sales geographical reach is extensive; we are excited about the potential possibilities within a market that has an established need; such as automotive, medical, aviation and aerospace. It’s the right time to extend our coverage in the landscape that Horizon Sales covers, and we are looking forward to them introducing the market to GEN3 solutions.”
The agreement between GEN3 and Horizon Sales was made as a result of the partnership GEN3 had with distribution partner Ascentech coming to a natural end. Ascentech, was GEN3’s North American distribution channel for over 12 years and through this time both parties developed a successful business model. Ascentech’s company Directors, Randy Allinson and Greg Alexander will retire on the 01st of January 2020, and the GEN3 would like to take this opportunity to wish them well.
Horizon Sales’ President Dave Trail added: “All of us at Horizon Sales are excited to partner with GEN3. Their electronics test and measurement products are specialist in nature, which provides us with a unique selling proposition and advantage within our sales channels. We can add -value to all electronic manufacturing companies through the Gen3 solution offering, from the Tier IIII Contract Manufacturers, through to Tier I, and the large household name military and aerospace organizations.“
