Nordson DAGE Assure Component Counter Wins Mexico Technology Award
October 25, 2019 | Nordson DAGEEstimated reading time: 1 minute
optical control, now part of the Nordson Corporation, announces that it was awarded a 2019 Mexico Technology Award in the category of Component Counting for the Nordson DAGE Assure component counter. The award was presented to the company during a Wednesday, Oct. 23, 20918 ceremony that took place during the SMTA Guadalajara Expo & Tech Forum.
The Assure X-ray from Nordson DAGE, formerly named the OC-SCAN®CCX.3, is the only true plug-and-play system that can essentially be plugged in as soon as it arrives and set into production immediately. This is possible because there are no libraries and no programming is necessary. The Assure™ can count ANY size reel in about 10 seconds regardless of type of component, or the quantity of components on the reel. In fact, four 7” reels can be counted in about 12 or 13 seconds. High speed combined with the best accuracy; it is capable of providing an ROI faster than any other machine.
The machine also can be configured for complete automation, including integrations into other systems such as automated storage units. Whether this is done by software only, using a loading and unloading unit, or complete integration, is up to the customer in their steps toward industry 4.0.
Using the Assure while communicating directly with your ERP system ensures precise knowledge of your inventory at all times, ultimately resulting in “keeping your SMT lines running.”
The Mexico Technology Awards acknowledge the latest innovations available in Mexico produced by OEM manufacturing equipment and materials suppliers over the last 12 months.

It’s Only Common Sense: Make the Investment Where It Really Counts
12/05/2024 | Dan Beaulieu -- Column: It's Only Common SenseWhen I consider the real cost to manufacture a product, I think about the misguided and short-sighted decisions business owners and managers sometimes make in response to tough times. I’m amazed at how often I hear about PCB shop owners who complain about not having enough business, yet their solution isn’t to hire more salespeople or invest in marketing. Nope. Instead, they go out and buy a shiny new drill.
