CIMS VVR – The Revolutionary AOI Verification Concept

CIMS has officially launched VVR—the next generation intelligent verification solution. VVR stands for “Virtual Verification and Repair” system which combines verification of AOI post-processed images with live video mode.
Traditionally, verification was performed by bringing defects’ location under video for visual confirmation by an operator. In VVR mode, operator starts by reviewing defects’ images grabbed by AOI and processed with AI-based image enhancement algorithms enabling quick filtering out obvious false calls.
Double clicking on an image activates live video verification mode allowing visual confirmation for a specific defect.
Using VVR enables dramatic improvement in verification efficiency and speed while seamlessly integrating the results with the database. Moreover, users can easily classify defects using an optional touchscreen providing a critical feedback to QA in real time.
