PRIDE Industries to Install 20,000 ft of StaticStop FreeStyle ESD Plus Flooring
May 11, 2020 | PRIDE IndustriesEstimated reading time: 1 minute
PRIDE Industries, a nonprofit social enterprise providing superior manufacturing and service solutions to business and government agencies nationwide, recently purchased 20,000 ft² of FreeStyle ESD Plus Apollo flooring to update the existing ESD flooring in its surface mount and mixed Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly areas. Brian Moylan, REStronics Managing Partner for Northern CA, facilitated the sale between PRIDE Industries and StaticStop, a division of SelecTech, Inc.
PRIDE selected the FreeStyle ESD tile because the benefits of the FreeStyle technology were superior to anything else they saw. The new tile is part of the company's efforts to move from being compliant with the ANSI/ESD S20.20 specification to being fully ANSI/ESD S20.20 Certified.
The tough ESD polyurethane coat Plus gives the floor a no-wax finish that not only reduces the long-term costs of maintaining the floor, but keeps the floor looking great. When they did the math it all added up—FreeStyle ESD Plus was the clear choice, from performance, to aesthetics, to the total cost of ownership/lifetime costs.
StaticStop was founded in 1993 with the mission of creating valuable products from scrap plastics. The company is a leader in the manufacture of flooring products from recycled materials and uses one million pounds of recycled materials annually.
FreeStyle ESD tiles use a patented glueless “zipper” interlocking system that enables the flooring to be installed over existing flooring with minimal subfloor preparation. There’s no need for messy, toxic adhesive and down-time is significantly reduced—often without need to close off an area.
Made with 70% recycled materials and 100% recyclable, FreeStyle ESD meets CA 1350 Indoor Air Quality and is MAS Certified Green. For more information about StaticStop and SelecTech, visit www.selectech.com.
PRIDE Industries works across multiple technology sectors and delivers flexible, cost-effective, and customized solutions to meet your manufacturing, testing and shipping needs.

American Made Advocacy: Lobbying Congress Supports the Supply Chain
05/27/2025 | Shane Whiteside -- Column: American Made AdvocacyThe upheaval in world markets is driving daily headlines. The global supply chain has seemed “normal” for the microelectronics industry because over the past three decades, an increasing percentage of microelectronics components and materials have been made overseas. For many years, other countries, primarily in Asia, invested heavily in their microelectronics industry while U.S. companies offshored manufacturing services in pursuit of the lowest cost.
