Sunstone Circuits Pledges Proceeds from Orders Will Be Donated to Feeding America
May 18, 2020 | Sunstone CircuitsEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Sunstone Circuits®, printed circuit board (PCB) solutions provider for prototypes, medium volume and production quantities, recently announced that it will donate proceeds from PCB sales to help families in need across the United States.
The COVID-19 outbreak of 2020 has created new policies and realities such as social distancing and stay at home orders across many states. The resulting changes to businesses, essential daily life activities, interacting with people and viable types of employment have created unexpected hardships for many people across America.
From illness and death of friends and family, lost wages, school closures, food shortages and cost increases, this has been a very challenging and unprecedented time for so many.
Sunstone Circuits has focused on people and their needs since it started in 1972. When various disasters have hit, whether it be fires, flooding, tornadoes, earthquakes or tsunamis, Sunstone has looked for ways to help. One of Sunstone Circuits core values has always been taking care of people, priding themselves in wellness programs, safety, and putting employees ahead of profits. When it came to helping provide families across the nation with basic needs, it was an easy decision to partner with “Feeding America®,” to help those in our own backyard.
“There are many families in our Country who are having a difficult time obtaining food and other essential needs during this pandemic. Sunstone wants to help where we can. Donating to Feeding America will help those in need to put food on their tables. We have always been a contributor in our local community for feeding people and want to expand the reach nationwide. With our customer’s help, we will make a difference in people’s lives.”
~ Rocky Catt, Chief Operating Officer
“We all need to pull together and make a difference for people all across the United States. Everyone is negatively impacted in some way and giving to Feeding America, a charity that is providing such an essential need for people, is the right thing to do. We are fortunate to be able to provide assistance to those in need.”
~ Terry Heilman, Chief Executive Officer
Feeding America is a charitable organization with a mission to connect people with food and end hunger. We know that the need is high and so Sunstone is pledging a portion of every PCB sale, until the end of June 2020, to be donated to Feeding America and help as many people as possible. We hope others will join in this important need as well.
