BECOM Establishes a Chinese Subsidiary in Heyuan

With the founding of BECOM Electronics Co. Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of BECOM Electronics GmbH, another important strategic step has been taken for the further development of the BECOM Group.
The new high-tech site in southern China (Heyuan, Great Bay Area) covers an area of 3,000 m2. A high-tech machine park, automotive-certified process sequences and integrated planning guarantee semi- and fully automatic production. This includes certification according to automotive standards. With this location, BECOM creates additional added value for its customers.
Efffective Sept. 1, 2020, Christian Werfring resumed the role as director of operations. Werfring studied industrial engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt and has been working at BECOM since 2014. In his position, Werfring will lead operations of the new BECOM site.
He is supported by China expert Ferdinand Hilpert, who has been appointed as legal representative. Hilpert knows the Chinese market well, and has more than 20 years of experience abroad.
"Expansion steps as well as permanent investments in the existing locations are essential engines for the further development of a company,” he says. “They strengthen the position in global competition.”
Over the past 10 years, more than € 50 million has been invested at the Hochstraß site in spatial expansion, the automation of production processes, new technologies and machines. The new logistics centre opened last year with the expansion for the research and development sector in Hochstrass.
