HumiSeal Gains IATF 16949 Certification for Pittsburgh Facility
October 29, 2020 | HumiSealEstimated reading time: Less than a minute
HumiSeal®, a leading conformal coating manufacturer, has gained IATF 16949 certification for its Pittsburgh USA manufacturing facility. This is in addition to the IATF 16949 certification already achieved by the Winnersh UK facility, which further solidifies the company’s continued commitment to the quality and consistency of products manufactured.
IATF 16949 is the global technical specification and quality management standard for the automotive industry. The certification follows significant investment and several months of implementing further quality assurance protocols across the company’s manufacturing and distribution operations.
The IATF 16949 originally published in 1999 to create and promote harmonization of supplier quality systems to improve product and process quality in the automotive industry. IATF 16949 is a common global registration recognized by all participating organizations of the IATF, which includes, but is not limited to, DaimlerChrysler AG, Ford Motor Company, General Motors Corporation, BMW, and Volkswagen.
Dave Coye, Quality Director, and project sponsor commented: “As our commitment to all customers, we continue to improve our quality systems through investment in our employees, systems, and infrastructure that ensures best in class products supplied to electronics manufacturing. This is an exciting achievement for another HumiSeal manufacturing facility to be certified to the highest quality standard.”
