Zollner Elektronik AG Receives the BAYERNS BEST 50 Award
December 18, 2020 | Zollner Elektronik AGEstimated reading time: 1 minute

With this annual award the Bavarian Ministry of State honors the medium-size companies with the most growth for their economics, development of the country and use of energy. The reasoning behind the Ministry’s decision was that Zollner Elektronik AG has increased its revenues and number of employees at above-average rates this past year. The company employs 11,500 people at 20 locations around the world and enjoys continuous organic growth. Prize winners were determined according to objective criteria from Baker Tilly GmbH & Co. KG, an auditing company acting as an independent juror.
Zollner also received a special prize for outstanding commitment to training within its own operations. The company has the absolute highest number of apprentices, says the Ministry. Since the company was founded in 1965, Zollner Elektronik AG has prepared 1,900 young people for successful training qualification. In spite of the pandemic, another 81 apprentices were added for the beginning of their training in September.
Johann Weber, CEO/Chairman of the Board of Management at Zollner Elektronik AG is pleased about the award: “We are proud to be among the Best in Bavaria. The special prize in particular is a wonderful confirmation for us, because training has always been one of our most beloved endeavors. We need long-term, highly qualified and skilled employees. And who could be better suited for this than the bright young job starters in our region?”
