Intervala Expands in Greater Pittsburgh to Accommodate Future Growth
January 15, 2021 | Intervala, LLCEstimated reading time: 1 minute

Intervala, LLC, a full-service manufacturer of high-reliability, precision electronic and electromechanical products, has signed a long-term lease finalizing the relocation of its corporate headquarters and Pennsylvania manufacturing operation to the Westmoreland Innovation Center in neighboring Westmoreland County,Pennsylvania. With the relocation, the Company continues to reside in the Greater Pittsburgh area and gains significantly more square footage in anticipation of future growth and several advantages for the Company’s customers and employees.
Intervala finalized the five-year lease for the 217,000 square-foot space, which includes several extension options, with the Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern Pennsylvania (RIDC), the property manager, earlier this month. The Company has designed the site’s all-new, expansive production area for maximum efficiency, quality and throughput, incorporating line-of-sight manufacturing and recent investments in top-of-the-line engineering, manufacturing and inspection technologies, as well as state-of-the-art ESD and environmental controls. The build-out of the new production floor, office and collaboration spaces, employee facilities and a customer welcome area are underway.
“We are thrilled with the many opportunities our new location provides, including the ability to design the best possible manufacturing experience for our customers and work environment for our employees,” said Teresa Huber, president and CEO of Intervala. “In addition, the site provides significant room for expansion as our business providing full-service manufacturing of complex, high-performance printed circuit board assemblies, electromechanical systems, and cable and harness assemblies continues to grow.
“We also are grateful to RIDC for its support in meeting the needs of Intervala’s business in helping us identify and create a professional and comfortable space that will appeal to our customers and employees, and reflect positively on our organization,” added Huber.
“Companies like Intervala are drivers of our region’s economic future,” said Donald F. Smith, Jr., president of RIDC. “We want to do everything we can to support their needs and see ourselves as partners in our tenants’ success and growth.”
“We are grateful for Westmoreland County Industrial Development Corporation and elected officials for their continued partnership to grow jobs and industry at RIDC Westmoreland,” said Timothy White, senior vice president of development at RIDC.
